This Masters, which aims to be a flagship course, will feed the employment market of the future with people having acquired the complete and big picture of the Nuclear Energy domain with not only technical knowledge but also economical, organisational and managerial. Armed with this, the Masters is capable of producing a large number of employees with technical expertise for the companies in this field, particularly in terms of project management, of service managers or factory managers.
The five majors of this course cover a wide variety of careers in the nuclear industry; four main categories can be identified:
- Design and construction
- Operation and maintenance
- Power station decommissioning and waste management
- Fuel Cycle
The course also aims to prepare students for a career in research and offers teaching for those going on to write a thesis. The course’s broad and diverse support base of research laboratories allows the integration of a significant proportion of the student body in this field.
